About Us

When we say River Landings is "your home port," it's for a number of good reasons. Start with a perfect location inside the 270 loop. Our street names echo a nautical theme throughout and some of our streets even have shapes reminiscent of incoming waves. Practically a stone's throw from Columbus' premiere water attraction, the scenic Scioto River, many a water sport await you. Some of them are featured on our website, from water skiing to rowing, tubing and canoeing. For the angler, with or without a boat, feisty bass, bluegill and catfish await both the young and the young at heart.

Just south of us off of Fishinger Road is Griggs Reservoir Park, offering many activities for those who prefer the terra firma. From picnic areas to walking and riding trails, there are many family-friendly recreational activities to enjoy. In the fall, bring your camera and capture the view of the colorful fall foliage and spectacular properties that border the Scioto River.

Whether you're a duffer or not, get off your duff and visit the Frisbee golf course just south of Griggs on Riverside Drive. A quick run down Riverside and a left on Lane takes to you The Ohio State University, home of the wildly popular Ohio State Buckeyes.

Just to our north off of Hayden Run, be sure to visit a popular destination in the spring and early summer, Hayden Falls. An observation deck provides a close-up view of our closest waterfall. Five minutes north of that, sale prices on premium brands are overflowing at The Mall at Tuttle Crossing. Anchored by Macy's, our closest mall includes 130 specialty stores with brands such as Godiva, Bath and Body Works, Pink, Pottery Barn and more.

Our ideal location also includes access to the excellent Hilliard City Schools. From preschool and elementary education to middle school, high school and vocational/technical school, you get the benefits of being the 9th largest school district in the state of Ohio. The school buses offer convenient pickup locations throughout our subdivision as well.

New development in the surrounding area will keep River Landings in demand, allowing residents to enjoy many new retail stores, restaurants and medical facilities.

Although we're close to the big city, we maintain a pristine beauty usually found in rural settings. All the power lines are underground, which not only increases the visual appeal for our residents, but safety as well. Well-lit sidewalks exist on both sides of the street throughout the subdivision, allowing for transportation by either tennis shoes or training wheels. With three convenient entrances, you have quick access to both the highways and byways while maintaining the tranquil sounds of a forest preserve.

Each of the four seasons has its own special magic here at River Landings. From the first burst of crocus color that herald the onset of spring to heavenly hyacinths, nature's beauty abounds. In April and May, the air is sweet with flowering crabapples of red and white. Enjoy an evening walk through the subdivision and savor what is truly a feast of both scent and sight.

Our homes feature a variety of architectural designs, highlighted with landscape lighting and our well-kept yards showcase our pride and diversity in landscaping. Throughout the summer and fall months, we are proud to showcase a number of properties with our Yard of the Month recognition. From a complete backyard redesign to a bumper crop of blooms, we celebrate the colorful creativity of our residents and their yards.

Take a close look at the landscaping at each of our subdivision's entrances, for the beauty is in the details. From shrubs and trees that welcome you home with ever-fresh color to flowers that attract all manner of beautiful wildlife, this is truly a special place to live. Beauty exists in both large and small ways at River Landings.

With all this mature habitat to attract wildlife, it should come as no surprise that we have wildlife in abundance at River Landings as well. Melodious songbirds welcome the morning and it's not uncommon while having breakfast to notice a cottontail rabbit also enjoying its breakfast on your back lawn.

Our guests of both fur and feather at River Landings include:

  • High-energy hummingbirds

  • Frisky chipmunks

  • Majestic red-tailed hawks

  • The elusive white tail deer

We encourage our residents to provide natural habitat for the guests who provide so much enjoyment for us.

Throughout the year, our newsletters and other sources of information (like our website) keep residents up-to-date with the benefits of being a member of River Landings. From mulch sales in the spring, purchased at a discount to ongoing improvements to our community areas, we all work together.

There are opportunities to serve as a volunteer on our Civic Association and contribute the gifts and talents you have, so let us know if you'd like to consider becoming a member.

The late fall and winter months at River Landings are the perfect time to reflect and give thanks for all we have been given. Although the fragrant fall foliage no longer provides color, the residents of River Landings take over to provide a little color of their own.

Maybe you feel called to display a manger scene or Saint Nick and his sleigh. Perhaps your style is an artistic display of Christmas color or the unfortunate collision of Grandma and a reindeer, memorialized each year in song. It matters not to us. Let your talent shine for all to see. Although we can't help with your electric bill, we'll be happy to present you with the website recognition you and your in-house elves so richly deserve.

These are but a sampling of the sights, sounds and scents of a River Landings lifestyle. The confluence of an ideal location, exceptional properties and friendly neighbors provide a supremely enjoyable living experience.

River Landings is truly is a place you'll be proud to call "your home port."
